Your walls live in this browser.

When you build a wall, it is written to your browser’s local storage on this device — the wall’s name, the films on it as Movie Database ids, the look, the paper colour and how many posters across. Up to twenty walls are kept; the oldest drops off after that.

That storage is yours. We cannot read it, it is not synced anywhere, and it does not follow you to another device or another browser. Clearing your browsing data deletes every wall permanently — there is no copy for us to restore. You can also delete any single wall from the list on the home page.

Posters come from The Movie Database.

Searching a film, loading a ready-made wall and showing suggestions all send a request to our server, which asks The Movie Database on your behalf — your API key never leaves our servers. That request carries what you typed or which list you opened, and — as with any request to any website — your IP address.

Poster images are loaded directly from TMDB’s image servers when a wall is on screen.

Analytics, but not the kind that follows you.

We use Vercel Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they land on. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t build a profile of you, and can’t identify you individually — it counts visits, not visitors. There is no advertising network and no third-party tracking script beyond that.

Images you save.

Saving your wall as an image produces a file and hands it to your device. Where it goes afterwards — a camera roll, a group chat, a story — is entirely up to you, and out of our hands once you share it.

If this changes.

Accounts and shared links would mean storing something on a server, and we would say so here plainly and before it happened — not in a changelog you would have to go looking for.
